Summer School in Natural Products Research 2025

Students working in a lab

What is the school about?

A rich 7-day intensive that combines both theory and practice: 4 days of practical work based on the innovative laboratory Explogen LLC in Lviv. 3 days of theory and networking in the Carpathians with lectures from leading scientists from Ukraine and the world in the field of biology of natural compounds and their producers.

Key topics of the summer school:

  • Fundamentals of working with actinobacteria
  • Biosynthesis of natural secondary metabolites
  • Methods for identifying and cloning biosynthetic genes
  • Approaches to genetic engineering of strains
  • Methods for dereplication of metabolites
  • Fundamentals of chemo- and bioinformatics and more!
